The Opt-Out form is open Monday, August 17, 2026, until Friday, September 25, 2026. After this deadline students will no longer be eligible to Opt-Out for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The opt-out request form is available by visiting studentbenefits.ca
REQUIRED TO USE YOUR HOLLAND COLLEGE EMAIL ADDRESS.
- Selecting ‘SAHC’
- Select ‘Change of Coverage’
- Select ‘Start Opt-Out’
- Select ‘Opt-Out here
It is required to show proof of being insured on an equivalent insurance policy;
(Insurance Company Name and Policy Number can be located on a benefit card, letter from your insurance provider, etc.)
When you complete the request to Opt-Out, ensure that you see a submission ID # and received a confirmation email to your Holland College email address ensuring to keep a record of confirmation.
IF A SUBMISSION NUMBER IS NOT PROVIDED ON SCREEN, YOUR OPT OUT REQUEST WAS NOT SUBMITTED.
NOTE:
- PEI Health cards are only approved for Opt-Out of the International Medical policy only, not extended Health & Dental policies
- The Canadian Dental Care Program ’CDCP’ will not be accepted as proof of Dental Opt-Out
- Sponsored students with equivalent coverage are also required to complete the Opt-Out process accordingly
- You should see the refund applied to your tuition within 10 business days of your Opt-Out being approved.
- The Opt-Out form must be completed each academic year
